After the plantation, we went to New Orleans, Louisiana. We saw Jackson Square, and ate Beignets at Cafe Du Monde. They were so good! They were like miniature scones totally covered in powdered sugar. Then we put our feet in the Mississippi River, and saw a steam boat, the only one on the Mississippi called The Nachez.
We also saw some beautiful "rainbow homes" in Charleston, South Carolina. We walked along the Atlantic Ocean.
Later we went swimming on Isle of Palms in South Carolina.
Today we drove about 7 hours to the outer banks, North Carolina to a beach house where we are staying for a couple of days. If you look up the The Wright Brother's National Memorial, and then look at the street directly south of it, that's where we are staying till Friday morning when we pick up Clay. We went swimming tonight for around an hour. Bed Time!
Today's Highlight: Swimming!
sounds like you're having a great time and learning a lot in the process!
